Black Lives Matter

We partnered with the Sydney Peace Foundation to bring key members of Black Lives Matter to Australia in November 2017. While they were here, Patrisse Cullors (Co-Founder, Black Lives Matter), Rodney Diverlus (Co-founder Black Lives Matter Toronto) and Dawn Modkins (Black Lives Matter Long Beach, California) helped to open up new possibilities about how we talk about racism and justice in this country. We also supported an in-depth workshop by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and African Australian community advocates with Patrisse, Rodney and Dawn, in partnership with the Federation of Community Legal Centres (FCLC).
