She is the author of Why fight Poverty? – a challenging and provocative account of the struggle to rid the UK of poverty which poses the question, Is the struggle worth it? The focus of Julia Unwin’s Australian visit will be on the potential for government, business and community partnerships to overcome the deficit of poverty and inequality facing both the UK and Australia, with lessons from the UK about reshaping civil society to poverty and inequality.
